Barry R. Shaw, AIA, is the principle licensed architect of the firm.
Following Harvard as the #1 school of architecture in the U.S., Mr.
Shaw graduated Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, ranked #2 in the Nation.
Whatever your particular design requests may be, they will be
satisfied.
Mr. Shaw’s varied custom home
design talents include: Mediterranean;
Cape Cod; Italian Renaissance; Asian Revival; Tudor; or simply a
contemporary choice. The integrity of your home design is ensured by
Mr. Shaw’s personal administration of the entire construction
process, on the job site. This includes direct coordination with all
subcontractors, material suppliers, inspectors, and Client
walk-troughs.
Additionally, throughout the design and engineering process, Mr.
Shaw has a hands-on approach ensuring a complete and accurate set of
plans. All aspects of the design, engineering and material/labor
methodologies are scrutinized for optimization of the most cost
effective project possible; without ever sacrificing quality,
through his value engineering process.
Mr. Shaw’s experience building in multi-state environments and
interrelating with a multitude of state, county and local agencies,
pays off big dividends for his clients. As an example, he recently
received full approval from the Los Angeles Department Of Building
and Safety, upon the very first submittal of his plans, for a second
story master suite addition in Brentwood. On another project in Pacific Palisades, Mr. Shaw’s architectural documents for a new
ground-up home, were submitted to the local Design Review Board
receiving full approval for construction, also after the very first
hearing.
