Mr. Shaw is the firm’s principle licensed Builder, with three decades of residential and light commercial construction experience. His highly professional way of doing business is based on core values of upmost integrity, clear communication and an efficient/energetic construction pace, with sincere concern for his Client’s best interests, as priority. The result is a pleasant, enriched and gratifying building experience.
Barry started out as a young carpenter with his bags on, constructing homes and light commercial projects of all sizes, as well as participation with the many other Trades needed to complete a building. This invaluable hands-on experience is the basis of construction fundamentals, that Barry has parlayed with on-going continued education programs, passing multiple State Board exams and product research, resulting in innumerable benefits to his Client’s. Mr. Shaw’s personal dedication and commitment to his Client’s and their project, also includes his on-site supervision of all projects undertaken.
In the field, our proficiency with scheduling and integrating Trades, is second to none. We may have five different Trades and (15) men working, all on the same day, yet separated on the job; I.E. during rough-in we will weave in and out multiple parts of the building, Subcontractors such such as: roofing/plumbing/electrical/hvac/pick up framing/etc. The result: our Client’s move in on time or ahead of time and save significant amounts of stress and money from temporary living conditions.
Additionally, by integrating over a quarter of a century of multiple building type construction experience, Mr. Shaw is able to save Client’s thousands of dollars in construction costs, before construction has even begun. This is accomplished by implementing his field experience into the design and specifications of the plans, through value engineering strategies. On a typical home project, there will be about (50) line items of material and labor Trades needed for the project. Even if only $1,000/Trade is reduced from our cost saving methodologies, that’s $50,000 in project cost reduction, just from our first round of review.
