After gaining substantial experience with architectural companies designing residential and light commercial buildings post-Architecture School, Barry wanted to pursue his interests in construction and eventually integrate this with his future company's design work.
So he went to work with Builders and humbled himself as a project manager for additions/new homes, fourplexes and office projects of all sizes. He worked shoulder-to-shoulder with the many other Trades and Material Suppliers needed to complete a building, providing invaluable construction field experience that eventually transferred in to his construction and architecture firm.

Barry has passed multiple State Board general contractor exams, extending his expertise with technical, cost estimating, contracts and multiple Systems knowledge. Combining these proficiencies with providing quality, cost-efficient and timely BSA projects, became key foundational elements for Client delivery.
Although BSA Inc. Design & Construction does not currently offer full-service G.C. work, Mr. Shaw does provide his building knowledge for additional Client benefits, in the form of ‘Construction Support’ services. Please see Client Cost Savings, as just one example ensuring how your project can achieve a successful financial outcome, even before the plans are completed.
Our Testimonial page from Client’s, Peers, Engineers and Subcontractors, reflects our commitment to produce plans that incorporate our building knowledge, ensuring that your project will achieve a successful outcome.

"There really aren't enough words to describe how amazing this man is at his job. He contracted us to do work at one of his new two-story custom home projects & he strived for quality work.

From beginning to end he made it very clear that we needed to focus on details & that the most important thing was delivering extraordinary work & nothing less. His professionalism, knowledge and work ethics is unmatched. We have been in business many years & worked for many companies but none like Barry's.

We would not only continue to work with him but we would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for an Architect or General Contractor.
