Architect Support for General Contractor

Home Addition Plans

We received a call recently from a general contractor who admired our architectural designs for a second story addition in Northern Colorado.

This project was a master suite addition and office, similar to what his client requested from him. After he checked out our website and saw our (30) years experience with residential design, highly rated reviews from not only our clients, but from pier engineers, other contractors and employees as well, he called us for discussion of his clients home design requests.

This project is located in Broomfield, Colorado, although we provide services for other adjacent cities such as Louisville, Colorado, Erie, Colorado, Lafayette, Colorado, Superior, Colorado, Westminster, Colorado, Frederick, Colorado and Niwot, Colorado.

Before any new construction project can be built, design plans from an Architect is typically needed. He liked the fact that we are also builders, but of course in this instance his company would act in the capacity of the general contractors.

Because of our construction background as well, we’re able to ‘speak the same language’, right form the start. This helps facilitate the multitude of tasks needed, quite efficiently.

This Architect-Builder team provided the homeowner with collaboration of mutual goals that achieves a cost-effective, timely and quality home addition project, actually before the designs have even begun. Additionally, this design-build culture throughout the process allows the owner to feel quite confident with his teams respective proficiencies, thus freeing up precious time for his work, family and personal life fulfillments.

We worked with this general contractor on many levels of integration, but much of them included evaluating alternatives with our engineer to achieve cost, schedule and installation benefits with the construction framing and foundation systems.

We actually completed the plans almost a month ahead of schedule, which the general contractor and owner valued greatly, as the project ultimately was able to start much sooner than anticipated, which in turn meant the owners could move in faster.

Let us know if we can assist you with creative, very timey and value oriented Architect and engineering services for your new custom home, addition or ADU project.

Best Always!
